In order to make a donation, we ask users to submit a range of personal data through our online application. Such personally identifiable information includes the first and last names of donors, physical addresses, and email addresses.

Personal data submitted through our applications is used to fund the activities of our foundation only.

The Farrell Boy Foundation collects a website user’s name and email address when they choose to connect with us through our contact form or via email. Form or email messages will be read by one of our volunteers and may be forwarded to another individual in our organization to be addressed. Our website uses an industry-standard security protocol called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt the transmission of information between the website user’s browser and our servers.

When a website visitor uses our website to sign-up for email news, their information is not stored on our website but is instead forwarded to MailChimp which we use for our email marketing services. The email address is stored at MailChimp and will remain there while we use their services or until an email subscriber specifically requests removal from our list. A subscriber can choose to “unsubscribe” at any time by following the link at the bottom of every email you receive from us.

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on a user’s computer, and that the user’s browser provides to the website each time the user returns. Our website uses Google Analytics, a free third-party service that transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. We use a select group of well-supported and premium third-party plugins to enhance our user’s website experience, add functionality, provide and collect information, and secure our WordPress files. Our website software is regularly updated by a web professional. Our website is hosted by GoDaddy, is SSL-protected encrypted, and contains advanced security measures. Our staff and volunteers use password authentication safeguards and their IP addresses are whitelisted to access our domain.

  Registration data is stored in a database on our server. We follow web security recommendations to limit our database vulnerability.
