The Farrell Boy Foundation provides scholarships to high-school students and college/university students and financial assistance to graduated college/university students with existing student loans or related educational debt. Program eligibility, selection criteria and other guidelines are detailed on our Program Guidelines and Criteria Page.

Scholarships or financial assistance awards are announced on May 15, 2025. Completed applications and accompanying documentation must be received by April 30, 2025, in order to be considered for the present year.

Eligible applicants are required to submit an application and supporting documentation to be considered for a scholarship or financial assistance. A complete application consists of:

Personal and Education Information.
Academic Performance and Records, including an official transcript and SAT/ACT Scores, if applicable
A Personal Statement detailing all awards/honors received, career goals, and special personal or family circumstances affecting the need for financial assistance
One Letter of Recommendation from the applicant’s academic dean, advisor, counselor, or professor/teacher, unless the applicant is a recent college graduate
Evidence of Financial Need
A Listing of Other Sources of Financial Assistance, if applicable
Signed Information Release Form, if applicable

By signing below, the applicant represents and warrants to the Foundation that (i) it has read and understands the Scholarship Guidelines and (2) all information provided by the applicant to the Foundation in this application form, any supplementary documentation or otherwise is true and correct as of the date of submission. To the extent any information provided by the applicant becomes untrue or inaccurate after the date submitted, the applicant agrees to immediately notify the Foundation at scholarships@farrellboy.org. and provide any updated or supplementary information or materials requested by the Foundation. If a minor is the subject of this application form, I hereby warrant that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor, that I am at least 18 years old, and that I have the right to contract in the minor’s name.

For the avoidance of doubt, a person’s execution and delivery of this Application Form by electronic signature and electronic transmission (jointly, an “Electronic Signature”), including via Docusign or other similar method, shall constitute the execution and delivery of a counterpart of this Application Form by or on behalf of such person and shall bind such person to the terms of this Application Form. Information Release Form

For the purpose of encouraging promotion of philanthropy and charitable values, and for other good and valuable consideration, and to the extent that I am selected to receive any award from the Foundation (as defined below), I hereby grant to Farrell Boy Foundation, Inc. (and those acting with its permission and authority) and their respective board members, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns (the “Foundation”), the right to use and publish my name, information (as it relates to receiving any award by the Foundation) and photographic images and pictures of me or in which I am included on its website or in its promotional materials for the sole purpose of promoting the Foundation and its charitable purpose. To the extent that the Foundation’s selection committee is required to collaborate with an educational institution in selecting award recipients, I hereby grant the Foundation the right to share the information I have provided to them in my application for an award, on a confidential basis, with such educational institution for such purpose. I agree to release, indemnify, defend, and hold the Foundation harmless from any and all actions, claims, costs, and expenses, including, without limitation, any claims for defamation, false light or invasion of privacy, resulting from use of my name, image, and likeness.
