Adam Goldner and James Farrell were lacrosse teammates at the University of Pennsylvania. They shared the same corner of the locker room, James #19 and Goldie #20. Adam reached out to us and let us know how kind and encouraging James was as a teammate and wanted to let us know of his plan to walk the Camino de Santiago.
Adam decided to follow the Camino de Santiago, which translates to the Way of James, some 70+ miles, and dedicate his travels to his teammate James Farrell. This pilgrimage has many routes, and all roads lead to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is a shrine to the apostle St. James, and where tradition holds that the apostle is buried. Adam decided on a 70-mile route to Galicia and reached out to former teammates, friends, and family to see if he could take this walk to raise money for the Farrell Boy Foundation. He ended up at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela on the Feast Day, July 26th. The photos and video are so incredible. Thank you, Adam, for reminding us of James’ kind, generous and loving nature.
